Introduction

Our catalog is a single electronic database of dogs of the “Ca de Bou breed,” created as a convenient tool for breed lovers and breeders.

The electronic catalog was created in 2024, it is planned to gradually enter information both current and for previous years. In the catalog you can find: photographs, exhibition results, ratings, titles, health tests, exhibition descriptions, results of competitions of various sports that our owners practice with the Ca de Bou, information about descendants, littermates, dates of birth and death, information about the place of birth, breeders and dog owners. Thus, in the catalog you can find all the necessary information about the dog you are interested in, and also take advantage of the convenient functions of the electronic program in order to create pedigrees for future puppies, calculate the possibility of inbreeding, make a pair, study the descendants of a particular dog and much more. The public availability of the database and the possibility of entering information directly by owners and breeders of dogs of the Ca de Bou breed allows you to present your pets as widely as possible to a wide range of interested parties both in our country and abroad.

We very much count on the active participation of all “ca de boux” owners in filling out the electronic catalogue. We hope that our database will be constantly updated and expanded. The electronic catalog has several main sections:

Database is an electronic database of the Ca de Bou breed open to all visitors. You can enter the following information about each dog: photographs, origin, expert descriptions, results from exhibitions, health tests, titles, contact information, etc.

Kennels - in this section there is information about existing nurseries and breeders carrying out breeding work within the framework of the RKF - FCI system.

Shows – this section was created to quickly enter into the program information about the results of held exhibitions, which will be combined with database data. The results are entered by the administrators.

Judges – a section where you will find information about the experts who examined the dogs.

Standard – section where you can read the standard of the Major Mastiff breed (Ca de Bou).

The database allows for an advanced search for a dog by name, kennel or age, etc. It should be taken into account that the advanced search capabilities depend on the completeness of the information already available in the program. For example, if the owner did not indicate membership in a particular kennel or did not indicate the country of residence, then his dog cannot be found based on the criteria of place of residence and kennel.

USING AND REGISTRATION

To start working with the electronic catalog, i.e., enter data about the dog, you need to register. When registering, please indicate your real first and last name. As a “username” - nickname, you can use the name of the nursery or any other name. It is not acceptable for one person to have more than one username.

The next step should be to check through the program search whether the catalog contains information about the dog you want to register. It should be taken into account that due to the peculiarities of spelling or translation, the dog’s name may be written differently. This is especially true for countries where dog names in pedigrees are indicated in national languages. In order to check the presence of the dog you are interested in in the database, we recommend writing fragments of the nickname in the search bar, the spelling of which has no alternative.

The dog's name is entered into the database in two languages: Russian and Latin (for dogs born in the Russian Federation). If you want to add not only your dog to the database, but also its ancestors, we recommend that you start entering the database with the parents, and then move on to the children. This will help you save time, since the system will automatically enter some of the data. Also, after entering complete data about the dog’s parents, the system will allow you to enter littermates by automatically filling in the parents and date of birth. The catalog allows you to enter data on titles, health tests performed, and also add additional information. information that you consider necessary. Copies of pedigrees for dogs entered are welcome!

The purpose of the database is to systematize information about dogs of the Ca de Bou breed. Since the information in the database is confirmed by the presence of official documents (almost all of them will be available to visitors), we can safely say that this is the only database that can be trusted (the origin of sires, exhibition results, health tests, data on descendants).

The rights to edit data on dogs included in the catalog belong to the person who entered the relevant data. If you find your dog in the database and want to have access to edit information about it, please provide its name and your username in the database to the administrator.

The base administration has the right to request scans of documents to confirm the information entered.
